What should I expect at the first session?
During your first appointment, Megan will carry out a full assessment, including a detailed medical history and a physical examination. This will include a thorough assessment of your muscles, joints, and nerves.
After the examination, Megan will explain what appears to be causing your symptoms and how chiropractic care may help. Together, you will create a clear treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.

Do I need to wear anything specific for my first appointment?
No, please wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Light, loose‑fitting clothing can make it easier for your chiropractor to assess and treat you.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you do not need a referral from any healthcare professional. Chiropractors are regulated by the General Chiropractic Council.
Megan is also a member of the British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors to ensure the highest standard of care.
Is Chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic care is completely safe when performed by a fully qualified Doctor of Chiropractic.
Megan will explain any potential risks, such as temporary soreness or mild bruising, which are usually short lived. She will use techniques tailored to your body to support your recovery and overall wellbeing.

Will I receive treatment in the first session?
Yes, if it is clinically appropriate.
On rare occasions, treatment may not be provided if further imaging or referral is required.
How do I know if chiropractic is right for me?
